R.A. (Al) Shanks received his CA designation in 1978
after receiving his BA from the University of Waterloo. He
worked for Jarret, Gould and Elliott (a CA firm that merged with
Price Waterhouse) from 1974 to 1978 in downtown Toronto. Upon
receiving his Chartered Accountant designation in 1978, Al returned
to Wheatley and began his chartered accounting practice there until
moving to 14 Queen St N, Tilbury Ontario in 1980. After sustaining a successful business for over a decade, Al decided that it was time for a professional change. Paths led him to become Vice President of Finance for LEF McLean Brothers Limited in Wheatley, which was a public company traded on the Toronto Stock Exchange. Further life changes facilitated Al to return to public accounting from his home office and now, returning to his roots, he has set up office once again in Tilbury and only doors down from where he began his practice over two decades ago. |
